Ancelotti: Very sad because of the Super Cup defeat

 Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti expressed his regret at losing his team to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup.

Real Madrid beat Barcelona 3-1 in the Spanish Super Cup being held at King Fahd Stadium in Saudi Arabia. "It was a difficult period for us and we knew before the match that the team was not at its best," Ancelotti said after the match.

He added, "The defense was good against Valencia, but we made a lot of mistakes against Barcelona and we have to improve our defense." He continued, "We saw the problems in the team, and winning the Super Cup was a problem for us, but the team will return."

 

And he continued: “Here at Real Madrid you have to win the last match because this is what we used to do, but today we were not in our position and when we conceded the 3rd goal, it is clear that we have to change it and fix the mistakes.” He added: “The team suffers from many defensive problems, Unlike last season, he appeared in the previous matches and cost us the victory over Barcelona."

 

And to continue: “We lost all the battles on the ground against Barcelona, and this does not make me happy or happy, because it is not at the level of the team. When asked about the new contract, he replied: “I do not know, but I answered the question, but I do not know what will happen.”

But he concluded: "I have to think about how to solve the team's defense problem that caused us so much damage."
