Ancelotti excludes training Brazil: Argentina deserved to win the World Cup

Italian Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of Real Madrid, has withdrawn from managing the Brazilian national team, saying that Argentina should win the World Cup.

Ancelotti's name was linked to coaching Brazil, after Tite resigned after the country's World Cup quarter-final exit against Croatia. "I don't know what will happen to me in the future," Ancelotti told Italian broadcaster Rai Radio 1. "I live every day. My situation is good in Madrid and we have many goals for this season. It will be time to think about my future. I have a contract that ends on June 30, 2024, and if Real Madrid doesn't fire me before then, I won't leave.

Speaking about the World Cup, Ancelotti said: "It was a beautiful tournament, which ended with a great finish. Argentina should win and do it for two reasons: because they have good players and the best among them, and because this quality supports new things, like Julian Alvarez and Enzo Fernandez. France and Argentina depended on good defense and good players for their victory. Ancelotti praised Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni: "He did a great job, but he didn't do anything new. He put the players in their position and that made him a good defensive unit."
